Problem: Error: “7010: Unable to connect to the server.” opening Actuate Management Console.

7010: Unable to connect to the server.  This could be because of the following reasons


1. User Id or Password were not recognized


2. The server is not online


3. The number of connections to the server has exceeded the allowable limit


Please try again


Problem: Error: “System Failed” opening Actuate Management Console.

System Failed.


System Failure Reason: SOAP endpoint start failure: The specified port is in use.


Error Parameters: 8000 


Cause:

Dell Open Manage is using the same default port as Actuate. 


If Dell Open Manage is installed and/or running when installing Actuate then Actuate will state that the port is in use when installing Actuate.


Please see prim34575: Error: “The page cannot be displayed” and “HTTP 500 Internal Server Error” when running reports after a fresh install of Actuate and Primavera. 

Fix: Ensure that Dell Open Manage and Actuate do not attempt to use the same port.

 Another option is to disable Dell Open Manage.
